Intercultural Competency Grant Application Ready!

(Mankato, MN): Beth Lohrenz, a member of the undergraduate research team which I mentor, has completed a grant proposal to the MSU Undergraduate Research Center for funding support for a project: Comparison of Inter-cultural Competency Between American and Russian Undergraduate Students after an Intentional Human Relations Class. The purpose of this study is to compare the American undergraduate students’ cultural competency to that of Russian undergraduate students. The analysis of the cultural competency of Russian students will act as a comparison variable in the continued research of cultural competency in the classroom among American undergraduate university students. If funding is available, Beth might travel (with me?) to Magadan, Russia next semester to teach a course similar to MSU’s Human Relations course. Beth was a member of the team that went with me to Magadan in June, 2012. It would be great to have her return with me so soon!
