Starting with the Pre-Tsarist Period (prior to 1547) and proceeding to the Imperial Period (1547 to 1917), to the Soviet Period (1917 to 1991), to the Reform Period (1991 to 2001), and finally to the present day, authors explain the historical unfolding of education and curriculum development in Russia.
