The farewell luncheon was sponsored by MSU’s Center for School-Community Partnerships. We met at 11:30 a.m. in room 253 of the Centennial Student Union.
Rick Straka, Vice President, signed an amendment to the agreement between MSU and North-eastern State University, Magadan, for cooperation in student research and publishing.

Appreciating Our Host Families
The host families were an important part of the experience for our delegation from North-Eastern State University in Magadan, Russia.
Vanda Galen, retired Professor of Social Work at MSU, Mankato, hosted Svetlana Yakimchuk.
Marina Fatieva is Ukrainian-American. She and her husband, Dan Hallmaier, welcomed Svetlana Borzunova and Anzhela Shepeta to stay with them.
Alyssa Kuffel and Katlyn DeLaney are Elementary Education majors at MSU, Mankato, who welcomed Russian students Olga Pestereva and Ekaterina Lepekha into their apartments:
Jill Evenson and her son, Ethan, hosted Andrey Kalugin in their home. Jill works with LifePlan Financial Registered Investment Advisers, and Ethan is an Aviation major at MSU, Mankato.
Steve and Kristin Baty, and their children Eli and Addie, were the hosts for Ekaterina Lepekha and Anastasiya Metlina. Steve works with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and Kristin is a Music Teacher at Hoover Elementary School in North Mankato.
Ron and Wendy Meyer, opened their home to Anastasiya Gerasimova and Tatiana Azarova. Ron is retired and Wendy is administrative assistant for the KSP department in MSU’s College of Education.
