Arts and Humanities Academic Warning/Probation Advising Plan When a student is placed on academic warning or probation they will have a registration hold for the following term (0093 warning, 0001probation). Before this hold will be lifted by our office students must complete the following:

  1. For the FIRST APPOINTMENT, students must complete an online assessment. The SRC and student will discuss academic warning/probation policy, procedures and develop a plan for success for the semester.
  2. A SECOND APPOINTMENT is to take place at midterms. This meeting serves as a check in to discuss midterm progress reports and continue developing an academic improvement plan.
  3. Prior to registration, in a THIRD APPOINTMENT students will begin planning a course schedule for the following semester. Students will need to meet with their major academic advisor for approval of semester schedule and complete the Academic Improvement Advising Form. If the plan for success produces improved academic performance warranting continued enrollment, the major academic advisor will approve the class schedule for the following semester. The student will return the approved scheduled to the SRC.
  4. The SRC will then lift the hold for the temporary period allowed for the student to register; the hold will be re-instated automatically after the temporary period until final grades for the semester indicate whether the student has achieved success and is no longer on warning/probation.
