MGMT 346: Production and Operations Management

This course engages students in the study of the operations management function in manufacturing and service organizations.  Students learn how to apply the basic analytical models to operations decisions involving topics such as operations strategy, product and service design, process selection and strategy, facilities layout, location planning, production technology, aggregate planning, inventory management, quality assurance, lean and just-in-time production, supply chain management, and project management.

Prerequisite:  Admission to a College of Business major and Econ 207 or its equivalent.

MBA 612:  Data Analysis and Statistics for Managers

This course applies statistical models to various data used in making business decisions.  Data analysis concepts covered include hypothesis testing, one-way and factorial analysis of variance, multiple regression, time series analysis, and chi-square tests.  Microsoft® Excel is used to analyze data.

Prerequisite:  Econ 207 or its equivalent and admission to the MBA program or permission from the MBA Director, Dr. Marilyn L. Fox.

MBA 657: MANAGING SERVICE AND OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

This course addresses the concepts, techniques, and technology necessary to manage and control operations in services and manufacturing. The emphasis is on operations strategy, process analysis, quality management, and supply chain management.

Prerequisite:  Admission to the MBA program or permission from the MBA Director, Dr. Marilyn L. Fox.
