Elizabeth’s teaching philosophy is learner-centered, immersive, and competency-based. Active learning is central to teaching and learning in all instructional modes: face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes. The student’s role is that of regular, active user and creator with the language. The role of educator is to create a welcoming, low-anxiety environment, to design carefully planned learning experiences and interactions, and to provide quality feedback that fosters language learning.
