Justin J. Rudnick

Welcome to my webpage!

My name is Justin J. Rudnick (“Dr. J”). I’m an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Minnesota State University, Mankato. My teaching and research interests include performance studies and identity, affect and cultural studies, queer theories and LGBTQ identity, ethnography, and qualitative research.

I also serve as Assistant Director of Forensics, and work with the Maverick Speech & Debate Team to plan and coordinate tournament travel, mentor graduate student coaches, and supervise the coaching & performance of individual student speeches. As part of my work with speech and debate, I am currently the Tournament Director for the National Forensic Association (NFA) championship tournament!
