Welcome to my webpage!
My name is Justin J. Rudnick (“Dr. J”). I’m an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Minnesota State University, Mankato. My teaching and research interests include performance studies and identity, affect and cultural studies, queer theories and LGBTQ identity, ethnography, and qualitative research.
During the 2018-19 academic year, I also serve as Assistant Director of Forensics! I work with the Maverick Speech Team to plan and coordinate tournament travel, mentor graduate student coaches, and supervise the coaching & performance of individual student speeches.
On this webpage, you’ll find some biographic information about me, a statement of my teaching philosophy, a list of my publications (and a link to access them), and course descriptions & syllabi for courses I’ve instructed.
Thanks for visiting!
